He has a special interest in sports medicine and the treatment of athletic injuries. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Wisconsin Society of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Guhl enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, bicycling, and sailing.  He is currently a Cub Scout Den Leader for his son's Tiger Scout den.
